During a twitter exchange, ex-Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, revealed to Cardi B that Bitcoin will replace the U.S. dollar. Once again, this shows his continued support for the number one cryptocurrency.
This twitter exchange caused lots of reactions on the platform. Dennis Porter, a Bitcoiner, remarked that that sort of conversation was bound to happen.
Other crypto communities appeared in Cardi B’s replies as well, with Billy Markus, Dogecoin co-founder posting a meme to reveal the more stability of Dogecoin compared to the U.S. dollar.
After Dorsey resigned as Twitter CEO in late November, he renamed his mobile payment company, initially called square, to Block. Now, he has accepted a job to become a full-time advocate of Bitcoin.
Dorsey, in another tweet, took aim at “web3” – a term used in vaguely describing the internet’s next generation. He says this is just “a centralized entity with a different label.”
Asides from Jack Dorsey, another billionaire that has refused to buy into the new crypto trend is the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk. In early December, he called web3 “BS”. In another tweet released on Dec. 20, he provided more explanation on the matter, revealing that the term is more similar to a “marketing buzzword” in contrast to the internet’s future.
