Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, disclosed that he is personally invested in Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH).

With an existing market cap of about $2.476 trillion, Apple is the second-largest company worldwide.

Cook revealed at the DealBook seminar Tuesday that he owns BTC or ETH. When questioned if he has invested in both, he reportedly claimed:

“I have. I think it’s reasonable to own it as part of a diversified portfolio. […] I’m not giving anyone investment advice, by the way.”

The high-level exec stated that he’d been intrigued by crypto for some time. He’s also researched the topic quite a bit.

There’s been much speculation if Apple will or will not become involved in the crypto industry. Cook cleared up the confusion by affirming that Apple company funds will not invest in crypto or use it as tender.

“I wouldn’t go invest in crypto, not because I wouldn’t invest my own money, but because I don’t think people buy Apple stock to get crypto exposure.”
